ALARIC IS HEADED FOR THE BIG THREE...
Almost 30, but not just yet. Alaric turns 29 today, and he is having a blast in Shanghai. Currently filming the last episode of Sense of Home, the cast and crew threw him a surprise party after the last shot of the day was done.
"They ambushed me in my underwear!" Alaric quips. "We were filming in the apartment I was staying in. So after we wrapped I went to my room to do my own thing. Before I knew what was going on, they barged in, turned off the lights and presented me with 2 cakes!"
Alaric is overwhlemed by the amount of well wishes he has received and is very thankful for everyone's kindness. "Thank you my friends, and may you all be blessed, because I am!"
So whats next? The big 3... uh-oh.

Together with their wacky family, season two of The Yang Sisters promises
to be a treat far better than the first.
"We're not just playing for the laughs this time. The stories have
more weight and will probably pull a few heart strings here and there."
says Alaric Tay, who plays Milton (Jasmine's younger son) on the series.
The Yang Sisters II will air on Tuesdays starting on May 20 at 8.30pm,

ALARIC HOSTS THE SILVER SCREENS AWARDS
Last
night, Alaric hosted the 2008 Silver Scrren Awards - an integral part
of the Singapore International Film Festival (SIFF). This year the SIFF
turns 21. It was his first time hosting the Silver Screen Awards and
Alaric was honoured to be invited to host the event on it's 21st Anniversary.
It was a treat for all who were present as the red carpet hosted some of Cinema's finest talents. Among the guests were distinguished Chinese director Wu Tian Ming, Asian-American Hollywood actor Dustin Hguyen, and Taiwanese actor Winston Chao whose latest film Road To Dawn was the closing film for the 21st Singapore International Film Festival.
CRAZY ON CENTRAL
Craziness is a word used frivolously and very often with a hint discrimination. However, the realities of being mentally ill are far beyond description. And so the folks at Arts Central decided to depict it instead.
Beginning 17 February, the second season of Random Acts, titled Mental, will air on Arts Central. It is a brand new drama focussing on Mental Illness. Each episode depicts a character with a different illness. From the more common Depression and Personality Disorders to obscure illnesses such as Pseudocyesis, a.k.a Phantom Pregnancies, audiences will be thrilled at the educational impact of the stories and see their favourite actors play different roles across 7 different stories.
Alaric Tay & Lim Kay Tong return to play multiple characters in
this second season. Some of the other cast members include Vernetta
Lopez, Amy Cheng and Andrea Lim. Mental airs every Sunday, begining
on February 17. 9 pm on Arts Central.
