ALARIC BRAVES THROUGH 24-HOUR CELEBRITY MOVIE MARATHON
You'd never think Alaric would resort to putting himself through such torture. But he did, and he won!
Together with fellow Fly Entertainment artiste, Allan Wu, they beat 8 other celebrities in the race for $10,000. The monies will be shared between their respective adopted charities.
When asked about his experience sitting through 24 hours of random movies Alaric said, "It really isn't that bad when you get down to it. Especially when you think of how many more hours the actual participants have gone through, you will salute them for their stamina and perseverance."
THE DEVIL REALLY ATE PRATA?
Fly Entertainment celebrated it's 10th Anniversary this year with yet another milestone in it's own history. For the first time, the folks at the artiste agency / events & production company put up an interactive dinner theatre show called "The Devil Eats Prata" for four consecutive nights to sold out audiences at Klapsons, The Boutique Hotel.
Alaric Tay plays Wilmer Lam, one of the primary lead characters in this interactive play. "Wilmer is the Chief Operations Officer at Prata Agency - a ficticious but reknown talent agency in Singapore. He was originally from Hongkong but moved to Singapore a few years ago to help establish the Singapore Entertainment scene into what it is today."
What really makes Wilmer so interesting in the play though, is that through the evening, the audience will find out that Wilmer used to be a producer of Category 3 adult movies. And he would go around tables looking for investors to fund his next project. Wilmer Lam was so well received at the show that calls have been coming in to request for Wilmer to host several D&D events. To that, Alaric says, "How come nobody asks for me?"
Better luck next time Alaric! LOL
ALARIC TURNS 30 THE SAME DAY MJ DIES
Finally thirty, but not quite feeling it. "They say thrity is old, but I don't feel any older than I was five years ago," Alaric says.
The day didn't start off too well though. The unfortunate news of Michael Jackson's passing came early in the morning. "He was an inspiration to me in my younger days, especially his ability to dance," Alaric said. "There was a time where all my friends and I wanted to be able to move like Michael Jackson! It is a shame that a great musical icon has left us, but his genius and talent will continue to be remembered."
When asked if he felt it was bad timing, Alaric said, "Not at all. Now it's easier for people to remember my birthday!"
This is the time when life really begins, and Alaric can cartainly attest to that. With several projects in the pipeline, we can look forward to several productions with him at the helm and in front of the camera. In the meantime, Happy Birthday Al!
